An historic RNLI Pillar Box was shown being renovated on BBC The Repair Shop on Friday.
Weston had, at one time, three Pillar Collecting boxes. The only surviving one was sited against the wall of the Anchor Head Shop, rusting and decaying. Yesterday, Monday, we arranged for it to be lifted and taken for renovation. The lifting, no mean feat when it was buried a foot deep in solid concrete, was done for us by Larry Walker of L G W-Works Ltd. There will be regular updates as the renovation progresses.
